| Code Of Conduct | ||
| The following rules apply to all players their families and associates and to all officials of the York Whitehawks Roller Hockey Club. They are in place to ensure the smooth running of the club and that membership is an enjoyable experience for everyone. | ||
| 1. | It is required that all members and their families uphold the aims and objectives of the club and any affiliated associations. | |
| 2. | Players and officails should conduct themselves in a polite and sportsmanlike manner at all times. Treat your training venue and the staff with respect. Treat any away venue and personnel likewise. Show respect to your teammates and officials and any visiting/away teams and officials. | |
| A) | Under no circumstances should any weapons of ny description be brought into trainning sessions. This includes knives, BB guns, air guns etc. | |
| B) | Cigarette lighters must not be brought into the changing rooms. | |
| C) | Mobile phones must be handed to a parent/gaurdian and must not be brought into the changing rooms. | |
| 3. | Do not behave in a manner likely to bring yourself, sport or club into disrepute. | |
| A) | Bad language, gestures, boisterous behaviour damage to property will not be tolerated. Players will be penalised for such behaviour. Vandalism, theft, serious dissent could lead to serious disciplinary measures and even expulsion. | |
| B) | Penalties for such offences shall be decided by the club committee and will be dependant on the offence i.e. verbal/written warning, suspension from training and playing. | |
| C) | More serious or repeated offending could lead to permament exclusion from the club or even bipha | |
| 4. | Coaches and staff reserve the right to deal with minor desciplines on the practice floor in a suitable and appropiate manner. | |
| 5. | Sensible and appropriate clothing should be worn when attending training, games and tournaments. Full and serviceable kit at all trainning and playing, failure to comply will mean no training. Your team strip should be worn for games and promotions only. | |
| 6. | Your equipment and any other personal effects are your responsibility; please make sure they are cleary labelled. Valuables are best left at home or with a parent, as the club cannot accept responsibility for claimming lost, damaged or stolen items. | |
| 7. | The club is run by the members for the members to ensure that the club runs smoothly. It is the responsibility of each member to pay any monies due, when it is due to. failure to pay may mean non-participation in training and games. | |
| 8. | For the club to move forward it is important for players to attend regular training, to compete at their best whenever training or playing and to behave in a sociable and proffesional manner to their team mates and coaches. | |
| 9. | Players who attend regular training sessions will be given priority consideration for team selection above those who do not train regularly. | |
| 10. | The head coach running the session or the team manager on match days will make the final decisions as to whether any player will be allowed to play or train for whatever reason. | |
| 11. | Complaints arising from exclusions must be made in writing to the committee within 48 hours of the incident. | |
| 12. | A Discipline record book will be kept at Oakland's, a record of any serious misconduct will be made in this book and should any person receive two reports in any 3 month period then that player shall be brought before the committee and a suitable penalty shall be decided upon. | |
| 13. | Any changes to the above code can only be made after discussion and approval at the AGM or any committee meetings. | |
